Skunk2 has done it again. While others are busy imitating our LCA’s, Skunk2 engineers have spent years of extensive R & D to revolutionize a product that was once thought to be dialed in. Skunk2 is proud to announce the release of its Ultra Series Lower Control Arms for the ’88-’95 Civic/ CRX and ’90-’01 Integra. The Ultra Series LCA’s are based off of the same technology the company’s been using in its own race cars for 20 years. Skunk2’s Rear Lower Control Arms are direct replacements, maintain OEM suspension geometry, and are ideal for street and race applications. The Ultra Series Lower Control Arm offers the hardcore racer and discerning enthusiast, the very best of the best. In a market full of “Me Too” Product, and recycled, annealed lower control arms, we took the Lower Control Arm back to the drawing board. Often not used due to the higher cost, we chose 7075-T6 because of its exceptional strength to weight ratio and fatigue strength. With an ultimate tensile strength of over 78,000 PSI, and fatigue strength of 23,000 psi for 500 million cycles – This is the perfect material for our game changing Ultra LCA’s. The result of our hard work is a 7075-T6 Forged Aluminum LCA, that is 19% lighter and 27% stronger than our previous generation of LCA’s. Accurate suspension geometry is maintained under the most aggressive driving conditions using high load steel spherical bearings on the trailing arm side and tuned durometer elastomeric bushings for the sub frame side of the LCA. Delrin bushings are utilized at the shock mounting position for their low friction and minimal deflection for unparalleled dynamic shock control. Using this select combination of bushings allows the most comfort and control under any driving conditions. For hardcore race level handling, we have also added the option to replace the sub frame side elastomeric bushing with a high load steel spherical bushing for a no-nonsense track car. The bushing change can be done in minutes with basic tools
Suspension components are key to making sure you car is riding smoothly on or off the road. With upgraded suspension components, you can unlock the full potential of your vehicles performance.
Control arms connect your vehicle's suspension to the vehicles frame. Control arms allow your vehicle to turn and pivot. By having a quality set of control arms, you can keep your vehicle's suspension feeling smooth and operating properly.

All Skunk2 products are carefully planned and designed in-house using the latest computer simulation and modeling techniques, followed by careful testing in controlled laboratory environments using state-of-the-art equipment. Each product is then subjected to rigorous dyno, street, and race track testing to ensure proper performance in the most extreme conditions. For these reasons, top street cars and race cars worldwide rely on Skunk2 products. As part of Skunk2’s commitment to developing industry-leading products, we’ve remained actively involved in various forms of motorsports through technical partnerships, sponsorships, as well as with our own race vehicles for more than 15 years. We’ve gone on to secure a number of drag racing and road racing records and championships, including earning the title of the world’s first 10-second naturally aspirated Honda. Racing provides us with the data necessary to produce high-performance parts utilizing innovative designs, advanced metal alloys, cutting-edge manufacturing methods, and stringent quality-control measures. Driven by the desire to make things go faster, Skunk2’s staff is comprised of industry leaders, racers, and enthusiasts who are passionate about what they do and understand what other enthusiasts want. Our perspective is shaped by real-world racing experiences as well as by practical science, and that's precisely what makes Skunk2 products so good. Firmly grounded in our understanding of engineering, we make every effort to embrace advanced technology. Our goal is to make performance and technology accessible to other enthusiasts through innovative manufacturing techniques. Since 1994, we’ve released a number of industry-leading products, including the first cast aluminum, high-performance intake manifold, cutting-edge composite fuel rails, and valvetrain components made from premium materials. Skunk2 is acclaimed as being the first U.S.-based sport compact parts manufacturer to offer CNC-machined, adjustable cam gears in 1995 as well as billet camshafts in 1999. As a result of continually pushing our engine development capabilities in the racing world, we’ve discovered a number of exciting “power secrets” that are incorporated into every Skunk2 product. Today we continue our tradition of creating leading-edge products through a state-of-the-art engineering and R&D department as well as through extensive engine development and testing both on the race track and the street.
